Purpose
2011 marks the rebirth of one of the USGBC's most ambitious and energetic committees. The Emerging Professionals (EP) committee serves the interest of students and young professionals entering the green industry. We provide support and networking opportunity while strengthening involvement with the San Diego chapter.
Current Project
Adams Avenue Greenway Project
Tentatively named, our brand new program sets to create complete bicycle linkage along Adams Avenue through Kensington, Normal Heights, University Heights, and North Park. Four locations will be chosen as the future placeholder for the winners of bicycle rack design competitions. Finalists will have their designs fabricated and installed, contributing to the bicycle infrastructure and emphasizing community connectivity. Additionally, existing non-fixed bicycle racks will be donated and distributed to other locations further increasing the impact of our project.
