Support of the San Diego U.S. Green Building Council goes directly to our signature programs, like our Green Assistance Program which pairs Chapter volunteers up with local non-profits and community centers that want to green their buildings. In 2010 and 2011, more than 70 long-term volunteers applied their knowledge of LEED to the benefit of local institutions. The Green Assistance Program of the San Diego U.S. Green Building Council provides benefits to our members and our community.
Additionally, in 2011 we have offered more than 5,000 contact-hours of education at more than 100 events through the year. We are raising the bar on what our buildings and communities can become.
