  The Building Design and Construction (BD+C) Facilitated Study Group will provide preparation for the BD+C LEED AP Credential  exam.  We will spend two hours each Tuesday evening, covering credit and prerequisite basics, and covering complete exam expectations.
  

  The structure will consist of 5 weeks of BD+C preparation, in which we will cover the LEED for New Construction, Core & Shell, and Schools rating systems; the major credit categories within each, specific LEED terms and definitions, referenced standards, metrics and calculations, as well as the expectations for the credential exam.

  The sessions will be held on 5 consecutive Tuesday evenings beginning with Session #1 (Registration for Session#1 includes all five sessions). Session dates are as follows:

  • June 18, 2013
  • June 25, 2013

  The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon is an award-winning program that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The winner of the competition is the team that best blends affordability, consumer appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency. The first Solar Decathlon was held in 2002; the competition has since occurred biennially in 2005, 2007, 2009, and 2011.
