The Membership Committee is responsible for implementing activities that aid in
recruitment and retention of USGBC members and for orienting new members to the
activities of our Chapter. To that end, its this committee’s task to create diversity,
educate and inform our local community in hopes that you will join us in this very
important journey of creating a healthier sustainable environment for not only ourselves,
but for future generations to come.

BECOMING A MEMBER
Membership in the USGBC is available within two categories:

San Diego Chapter Member ("People" are members, not companies). Anyone can join the USGBC San Diego Chapter at one of three levels:

Voting Member – Person pays $50, they must be an employee, owner, or partner of a      National Corporate Member (see below) firm.

Associate Member – Person pays $65, their company is not a National Corporate      member firm.

Emerging Green Builder (EGB) – Person pays $25, they are a registered student or       within 5 years of graduation.

Benefits: Individual members will receive "local" discounts for locally sponsored events, such as Green Meets, Study Sessions, Listing in the Chapter Membership Directory, participation on Chapter committees and task forces, etc.

National Corporate Member ("Companies" are members, not people). All employees, owners, and partners of a national corporate member firm can set up an account on the USGBC website using their email address, password, and corporate ID number (the company’s primary contact person has this number).

Benefits: Employees, owners, and partners of national corporate member firms will receive “national” discounts for publications, workshop fees, GreenBuild Expo registration, etc. that are organized and distributed by the USGBC.
