Green Homes SubCommittee

Purpose
The Green Homes subcommittee serves under the USGBC-SD Advocacy Committee in order to promote residential green building through outreach, education, and developing local resources.

Committee aim: to advance the residential green building marketplace within San Diego County through education, community partnerships, advocating policy, and developing resources.



Committee History and Activities
- First meeting in November of 2007
- Opened January 2008 with a residential-based GreenMeet "Green Homes for Everyone"
- Hosted residential-focused informational booth at Earth Fair 2009 and 2010 in Balboa Park as well as numerous other community events
- Hosted February 2010 GreenMeet “Greening the Places We Call Home”

- Actively works on  green residential initiatives within San Diego County in accordance with 2010 Action Plan

- Meets the third Wednesday of every month from 4-5:30 PM.  E-mail jowens@green-spark.org for location.
