Monthly EB Committee Meeting
February 20th Meeting
In an Age of Drought: Emerging Best Management Practices
DR. MARTIN DINE, Owner/Principal at GolfQuest Global Strategies
As California faces one of the most severe droughts on record, landowners, facility managers and designers are developing innovative strategies to maximize the value of landscapes in the built environment, while minimizing their use of finite natural resources. “Sustainable Landscapes + Water” will give an update on water use in California, the current drought situation, and explore some of the leading concepts for designing and maintaining sustainable landscapes in a drier, hotter, resource constrained future.
Dr. Dine has 28 years of project management and program development experience ranging from high technology defense programs and renewable energy, to golf course management and sustainability consulting. He is currently Owner/Principal at GolfQuest Global Strategies, a consultancy primarily engaged in developing sustainability programs for golf course facilities and golf- related industries. He is keenly interested in all aspects of sustainable development, sustainable business practices and LEED. Marty holds a Ph.D. for Astrodynamics from the California Institute of Technology. He is a LEED Green Associate, and member of the San Diego Chapter of the USGBC.
