This event is part of the national green schools movement taking place on September 29, 2012 around the world and includes both a Day of Service event and a Workshop for K-12 teachers to learn how to green their classroom.

Day of Service
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Please join us at Pepper Drive School in Santee as we complete a wide range of desperately needed repairs, cleaning, and modernizations to the school building and grounds.
The day of service will get started at 7:30 AM with registration and a light breakfast with projects starting at 8:00 AM.

Introduction to Green Schools Workshop
8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
A workshop for K-12 faculty to learn the basics of green building and how they can make their classroom healthier and more sustainable. Faculty attending this workshop will also receive a scholarship for USGBC's nationally recognized Green Classroom Certificate Program.
Teacher workshop begins at 8:00 AM with check-in and light breakfast. Workshop runs until 12:30 PM.
Workshop only available to K-12 credentialed teachers.
Sorry no walk-ins! You must be registered to attend this event. Scholarships only available to those in attendance.
