Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank

GAP Project

The U.S. Green Building Council-San Diego (USGBC-SD) and Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank will be continuing a partnership that started back in 2011, and will build upon a LEED feasibility assessment delivered in September of 2012.  With SDGBC staff leadership and facilitation, volunteers will assess the Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank (or SDFB) facility against LEEDv4 O+M performance metrics and develop LEED submittal documentation for GBCI review and subsequent certification.  This project will kick off in November 2015 and estimated to carry through the Fall of 2016. Please see full schedule below. The San Diego Green Building Council strives to offer free project-based learning experiences to all.  GAP is free to all participants, however, we ask for all volunteers to be Chapter members*.

“The Green Assistance Program has been crucial in allowing me to take knowledge learned in the LEED classroom environment and apply it to an actual project like the LEED certification of the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. There is no better way, in my opinion, to get hands-on experience while learning necessary, cutting edge, sustainable strategies.”  Robert Carr, GAP Volunteer
