Achieving Net Zero Water and Water Resiliency

Sponsored by San Diego Gas & Electric

This session will uncover strategies to reach Net Zero Water, and the definition of the term in applications. Net Zero Energy (or Zero Net Energy, ZNE, as known in California) has been clearly defined, both with respect to strategies/technologies and the payback equation. How we technically and financially define the aspects of net zero water is still a bit murky. As we take steps towards net zero water, or water security, we’ll need to address conservation and potable water use strategies, as well as renewable or local water sources. Similar to the loading order for ZNE (reduce demand and energy water, increase efficiency, supply renewable/local energy sources), we can address Net Zero Water from both sides of the water balance equation. Join us for this session as we cover both regional and building scales, with representatives from the San Diego County Water Authority, County of San Diego, and Advanced Onsite Systems

Speakers: Barbara Bradley, Susan Freed, Neema Kuzmich, and Kelley Gage

This session counts for 4 hours of GBCI continuing education. Registration is hosted through the SDG&E Energy Innovation Center: REGISTER HERE
