 BNIM 797 J St. 92101
Join Sullivan Solar Power's nationally-certified energy practitioners and San Diego Padres' Facilities Services Director for an electrifying conversation on solar energy and battery integration for residential and commercial applications. This lunch and learn will also highlight the largest solar power system in Major League Baseball at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres. The system utilizes 716 high-efficiency, 470-watt Sunpower solar modules, and will produce over 12 million kilowatt hours over the next 25 years. It is the highest profile solar project on a San Diego facility since the city’s commitment to 100 percent renewable energy by 2035.

Join a SDGBC Volunteer Committee!

Engaging with the San Diego Green Building Council committees is an exciting, fun, and rewarding way to volunteer your time and resources towards a more sustainable San Diego.

In 2018, we are looking to support existing committees as well as revive some of the committees that have been dormant in the past few months.

Residential Green Buildings Focuses on education and advocacy in the residential sector. This committee leads up the annual Green Homes Tour Program.

Green Schools Focuses on outreach to local schools and support in promoting sustainability projects and education. Main programs include Green Apple Day of Service and Green Schools Challenge.

Living Building Collaborative Focuses on growing awareness and knowledge of the Living Building Challenge, advocacy towards LBC friendly policies, and the facilitation of the LBC Ambassador Network.

Advocacy Focuses on education and advocacy towards more green building friendly policies on a local and state level. Provides opportunities to collaborate with other chapters in the USGBC Advocacy Network.

Green Business Focuses on providing support and coordinating resources in support of the local Green Business Network and its role in achieving regional climate goals. This committee provides an opportunity to engage with the local business community.

Education Advisory Facilitates the development, launch, and implementation of the education programs and speakers’ bureau.

Women in Green Advances and empowers the role of women in the green building and sustainability sectors. Provides an opportunity to create engaging events, network with local Green Building Leading women, and grow this initiative.

Are you interested in a membership or leadership with one of the committees?  Fill out this quick form, and we will follow up shortly with additional information.
